Distribution

Another way in which distribution for slumdog millionaire was Slum Dog Millionaire was marketed first in adverts, this is how it became more popular and more and more people wanted to watch it. The trailer which was shown on the TV was advertised on YouTube as well which accumulated up to 8 million views. For their marketing strategy Slum Dog Millionaire was only released in 6 major cities they then invited the Asian media this was so the film had better media coverage and then when it was released the cinema sales were bigger than due to the coverage.
